Request Data Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of the data collected about you by the Dark Node: Initiation mobile app, operated by Michael Dieterle (the developer shown on the app's Google Play listing).
Dark Node: Initiation has no account and no login. The only data collected is anonymous analytics gathered by GameAnalytics (see the data types below). Your in-game progress is stored only on your own device.
How to request deletion
- Email darknodegame@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request”.
- Because the app has no account, please help us locate your analytics records by including the device model you played on (e.g. “Samsung Galaxy S24”) and the approximate dates you played.
- We will delete the associated analytics data and confirm by email, normally within 30 days (and within any period required by applicable law).
What data is deleted
On a verified request, we delete the analytics data associated with your device that is held by GameAnalytics:
- The device identifier used for analytics
- In-app activity / progression events (levels started, completed, failed; tools used)
- Session and diagnostic data (session counts, app version)
- Approximate, country-level location (inferred from IP — no precise location is ever collected)
What may be kept
- Aggregated, anonymized statistics that no longer identify you.
- Any data we are required to retain by applicable law.
Retention if you do not request deletion
- Automatically-collected analytics data: retained for up to 24 months from collection.
- Aggregated / anonymized data: retained indefinitely, as it no longer identifies you.
Other ways to control your data
- Turn analytics off: open the app's Options screen and disable the analytics toggle — this stops any further data collection immediately.
- Uninstall the app: this stops all collection and removes your locally-stored game progress from the device.
